The Bennett Environmental anaerobic digester technologies take wastewater and produce biogas, a mixture of carbon dioxide, methane, and other constituents.  After removing water vapor and hydrogen sulfide, the biogas can be used to fuel engine-generator sets to produce usable heat and electrical power (cogeneration).  Biogas can also be used to fuel a boiler.  Another option is to upgrade biogas to biomethane or renewable natural gas (RNG), which is chemically equivalent to the natural gas delivered by utilities.  RNG can be injected back into a natural gas pipeline and used as compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle fuel. Our differentiation is that we are more efficient with 20-25% more energy produced on average versus other common digester technologies.
